Dear CHS Families,
Welcome back to another school year! We are so excited to work with you! While we realize these are challenging times for everyone, we have been working hard to ensure a smooth and safe transition for our students. Without question we will all be experiencing small glitches with our plans. Please stay calm and communicate the problems or concerns with us and we will work together to solve them. Flexibility and patience will be key to our success this school year. As we start the school year, know that we value your partnership and support. Please reach out if you need anything!
Please see the attached schedule (located on the bottom of this document) for the weeks of Monday, September 14th through Friday, September 25th. We have decided to deliver instruction on a 2-hour delay schedule. Between the morning hours of 7:50 – 9:50 teachers will be receiving professional development, collaboratively planning, and scheduling office hours to provide students opportunities to reach out for support. We feel this is a great opportunity to transition back into their 9-period daily schedule. Teachers will be populating their Google classrooms and reaching out to students via their school email address. Students should plan on attending each class remotely at the assigned time during the initial 2-week remote instruction period. Teachers will deliver any special instructions about meet times and expectation for their classes.
We will be sending out more information in the next two weeks about the final week of remote instruction (9/28 through 10/3) and the Hybrid Schedule, which begins on Monday, October 5th. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. We are working hard to finalize a safe plan that meets the needs of all of our students and families.
