Letter to 6th Grade About Reopening

(September 2, 2020)

Dear Sixth Grade Families,

I hope all of you had a great summer. We have been preparing and planning for a positive start to the 2020-2021 school year. While very different than most years, we will do everything possible in making this a safe learning environment for students. Soon you will receive your schedule. Your schedule may look different depending on in person or remote learning. Please be patient; we appreciate your flexibility as we complete all the details necessary to ensure a great start to our school year.

As a reminder, we are starting remote the weeks of September 14th-September 25th. We will be sending the remote schedule out as soon as possible so students will know what time to log on and meet with their teachers that week.

Starting the week of September 28th- October 2nd we will be transitioning students back who chose in person learning.

On Monday September 28th ALL SIXTH GRADE IN PERSON LEARNING STUDENTS WILL COME TO
SCHOOL. They will then be remote for the remainder of the week as we transition 7th and 8th grade students back.

On Monday October 5th ALL STUDENTS GRADES 6-8 will start live instruction daily.

If you have a Chromebook that is not working properly, please let us know so we can swap and/or repair it. Six grade families if your student does not have a Chromebook, please call the main office and set up a time to get a Chromebook.

Thank you so much for your cooperation and flexibility and we look forward to seeing all of you very soon!

Sincerely,

Michael Burns
Principal
