Please join us in welcoming Andrew Davey to the Chatham Central School District. Mr. Davey is our new Director of Facilities and oversees the cleaning, operations, and maintenance of our buildings and grounds. He comes to Chatham from the Hoosic Valley Central School District, where he was the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds.
Along with experience managing school facilities and construction projects, Davey brings to Chatham an outlook and skill set that stems from his previous work managing a facility for Albany Molecular Research Inc., where, among other duties, he oversaw cleaning, sanitization and maintenance of a laboratory cleanroom environment.
After working in the private sector, Davey says he finds the public school setting to be very rewarding. “Our facilities touch each person at Chatham Central School District and I’m looking forward to working with everyone to help them with their needs,” he said. “I enjoy making the place that much better so kids want to be here.”
The Board of Education appointed Davey to the position in June and he officially began here July 1. He replaces former Director of Facilities Steven Nieto, who retired in May.
