Senior art students in Fine Arts Workshop class recently created portraits for refugee and under-resourced Malaysian children through a partnership with The Memory Project. The Memory Project is a nonprofit organization that invites art teachers and their students to create portraits for youth around the world who have faced substantial challenges. The portraits help the children feel valued and important, show them that people care, and provide them with a special childhood memory. They are special gifts to cultivate global kindness and support the mission of The Memory Project, which is to create a kinder world through art. Our participating seniors are Evelyn Crosby, Jacob Park, Lexi Mickle, Mersadie Harvey, and Makenzie Dutcher.
A special thank you to the Fine Arts Booster Club for their support in covering shipping costs for the portraits.
