During a surprise assembly on December 18, MED announced its new House structure. Students were assigned to one of four houses – House Red, Green, Blue, or Purple – in which they will participate in new House Activity Day events together. Each house has a mix of students from pre-k through grade five, and every student received a shirt in their house colors to wear on event days. The purpose behind the House structure is to promote a sense of unity and kindness throughout the school by bringing students and teachers from different classes and grades together. MED hosted its first House Activity Day on December 20, where students spent the morning playing board games and dancing in the gym with their new housemates.
