Students in the CMS mentoring program and their mentors hosted a Harvest Festival for Headstart and MED PreK students on October 25. In this annual event, the middle schoolers paired up with a preschool buddy for a morning of fall-themed fun with games, arts & crafts, and snacks. Hosting this event gives middle school students the opportunity to be leaders and connect with their community, as well as spend time with their mentors.
The CMS Mentor Program pairs middle schoolers with adult mentors from the community. The program currently serves more than twenty students, and there are more on a waiting list. If you are interested in volunteering your time to make a difference in a young person’s life, contact the Middle School guidance office at 518-392-1560 (Ext. 2005).
