Letter to Parents Concerning Student Drop Off Procedures

September 26, 2019

Dear CMS Families:

This is just a reminder for you about student drop off procedures. As stated in our handbook: “Students are to be dropped off on the same side of the road as the school building. Students are not permitted to be dropped off on the opposite side of the road in front of the school building. U-turns are prohibited.

Our number one priority is to keep all of our students safe. Dropping students off on the opposite side of the street puts our children in harm’s way. Students who are dropped off on the opposite side of the street need to be dropped off by the crosswalk with the Crossing Guard located in front of the entrance to the MED and the High School.

I have asked our School Resource Officer to join me over the next few weeks to make sure all students are safe during morning drop off. Thank you with your assistance in this matter.

Sincerely,
Michael Burns
Principal
