The Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation awarded a $750 grant to support the Robotics Team at Chatham High School. Representatives from our team attended an awards ceremony hosted on June 13 at the bank’s Chatham branch, where bank officials presented checks to several local organizations. Pictured here, founding team member Ben Rippel (flanked by advisor Sandy Fischer, Bank of Greene County Marketing Director Martha Keeler, and advisor Justin Forrest) tells the crowd a little about the Robotics Team and how they plan to spend the grant. The team plans to use the money to purchase mechanical equipment upgrades as well as offset the costs associated with attending regional competitions. The robotics team is an after school club that builds a large-scale robot each year to compete against other schools in the First Robotics circuit. Mrs. Fischer applied for the grant.
