Three Chatham students were honored at Columbia Greene Community College’s Celebration of Excellence for its Spring, 2019 College-in-the-High School program. Anderson Coonrad, Pamela Mountain, and Emily Westover (who was unable to attend) were recognized alongside other high school students from the area for maintaining a GPA of 3.2 or higher while taking a minimum of six college credit hours during a single semester.
“It was a pleasure to join the College in recognizing the efforts of these students for successfully completing rigorous college-level courses right within their high school program,” said Dr. Sal DeAngelo, Chatham Superintendent of Schools, who attended the event.
Through its partnership with Chatham and other area schools, Columbia-Greene Community College’s College-in-the-High School program provides high school students the opportunity to gain advanced standing or college credit for work completed in the program.
