On April 10th students from the National Arts Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society visited Storm King Arts Center in New Windsor, New York. Storm King, like Art Omi, is an outdoor contemporary sculpture park that houses over 100 sculptures across its 500-acre grounds. Local artist George Rickey has three kinetic sculptures as part of Storm King´s permanent collection. Rickey lived in East Chatham, but was an internationally-acclaimed artist. Students walked the grounds, observing and photographing the sculptures as well as visiting the museum store. This field trip was the first time visiting Storm King for all students in the group.
