The Board of Education is currently seeking applicants to serve as community members on the recently established Vision, Mission and Wellness (VMW) Committee. The VMW committee is a special (ad hoc) Board committee that has been tasked to review, plan, research, update and draft the District’s Vision and Mission statements, as well as, a comprehensive Wellness Policy. The Vision and Mission will be drafted using data-based research, as well as collaborative input from both District staff and Community members. The research of the Wellness Policy will be focused on the 8 dimensions of Wellness as developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Each dimension will be researched, discussed, and findings evaluated for their relevance and incorporation into the CCSD Wellness Policy. The Wellness Policy will be a collaboration between the Board, District, and Community.
