Students in Mrs. Rossi’s and Mrs. Sacco’s High School Life Skills Class spent the day before break preparing and cooking a complete Thanksgiving meal. Fellow CHS student Lauren Wrigley and Mrs. Toomey joined in with the cooking duties. The boys earned money for the food for the meal from their weekly coffee sales and recycling efforts. They shopped for the food items during their weekly trip to Price Chopper.
The week before, they sorted and bagged over 500 pounds of potatoes at the Ghent Food Pantry for the Thanksgiving dinners that the Pantry provided to families over the weekend. The Life Skills Class works there every Wednesday, filling orders, stocking shelves, and helping people take food to their cars.
