DARE Kick Off

The 5th grade kicked of it’s 2018-19 DARE program on September 14. The students gathered in front of MED, where Columbia County Sheriff’s Deputy Wendy Guntert, our DARE officer, introduced herself and the program to the students and we raised the DARE flag up the school’s flagpole. DARE, an acronym for Drug Abuse Resistance Education, teaches students skills and strategies to make safe and responsible choices in all areas of their lives. The Sheriff’s Office provides the program free of cost to our school.
