NJHS Service Days

Seventh and eighth grade National Junior Honor Society members headed out into the community for some service-orientated field trips this June.

Seventh grade NJHS students headed to Katchkie Farm in Kinderhook where the students performed weeding, planting, and watering in their garden, then made a lunch from all the vegetables that they learned about while working the farm.

Eighth grade NJHS members took a trip to the FASNY Firemen’s Home in Hudson, which is a nursing home for volunteer firefighters. The students spent some quality time with the residents there, played bingo, made crafts, and even met a WWII veteran.
