Start Climbing the Ladder of SUCCESS!
Students will become interns for The Chatham Press and help produce the September issue of The Chatham Press during this one-of-a-kind learning partnership!
During the Academy, students will learn what it takes to be successful in a real job and get an experience they can put on their resumes. Students will learn how to work with others, how to apply for jobs, how to interview and more!
SUCCESS isn’t just about work! Students will also explore the theme of SUCCESS and get ideas to help them reach their goals!
Learning experiences will be GAMIFIED at this year’s Arbor Academy! In addition to their internship, students will play around with other areas that relate to SUCCESS using games and technology! Students have the potential to learn about…. Money! Communication skills! Puzzles! Design! Career exploration! Marketing! Digital literacy! Health and wellness! Power learning techniques that boost memory! The roller coasters of life, and more!
One of the goals of the Arbor Academy is to help students learn that success is built on failure! Students will learn how to work as members of a team and deal with disappointment! To make learning as authentic as possible, students will take on real jobs in our “company.” Students can be promoted or demoted just like in the real world. These experiences are central to the mission of this year’s Arbor Academy, but they will be invaluable success skills for your child!
