CASDA Honors Hull, Pearson at Scholars Recognition Dinner

Destiny Hull and Mark Pearson

Chatham High School senior Destiny Hull and social studies teacher Mark Pearson were honored guests at this year’s Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA) Scholars Recognition Dinner. This annual event recognizes the highest achieving Capital Region high school seniors and their teachers.

As part of this honor, CASDA published a write up on Destiny that states, “Destiny Hull wants to change the world. Top of her class, she has worked toward this goal by participating in Model Congress and SADD. Currently enrolled in a college level program focusing on law and government, she aims to continue her education in political science. From there, she will attend law school and earn her Master’s in Public Policy. Destiny credits her success to her mother who exemplifies the woman she wishes to become.”

CASDA also gives each student honoree the opportunity to nominate a teacher who they feel made a significant impact on their education. For Destiny, that teacher was Mr. Pearson. CASDA notes that “Mark Pearson’s animated history lectures shaped Destiny’s passion for history and government. His passion for education and life inspire her to achieve her goals.”

CASDA recognized Destiny and Mr. Pearson alongside other student and teacher honorees from around the Capital Region at the 2018 Scholars Recognition Dinner, held May 16 at the Albany Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Congratulations to you both!
