Smart Schools Bond Act Investment Plan

On April 17 the Chatham School District Board of Education adopted the Preliminary Proposal for the Smart Schools Bond Act. This proposal is for the expenditure of approximately $195,000 to purchase a new digital phone system to replace the District’s existing telephone system and upgrade the system’s security features. We would like to hear comments from the public regarding this plan as well as any ideas you may have for how the remainder of the monies could be used to support CCSD. The Smart Schools Bond Act was designed to provide funding to schools for projects outlined in the document provided below. A CCSD committee will be meeting to decide what to recommend in the fall.
