On April 17, the Board of Education adopted a proposed budget for the 2018-19 school year. The 2018-19 budget totals $31,936,305 and carries a projected tax levy increase of 2.49 percent, which is under the limit set by New York State’s property tax cap. The budget is up a total of $1,099,330, a 3.56 percent increase from the 2017-18 budget.
A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for May 1,, 6:00 p.m. in the Chatham High School library.
Voting on the proposed School Budget, Capital Improvement Project, and Board of Education election takes place May 15, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Mary E. Dardess Elementary School gym.
