As part of Reading Month in March, the MED PTA hosted a bookmark contest for students. For inspiration, the students were asked to consider “What does the MED mean to you?” when creating their design. One winner from grades 3-5 and one winner from grades k-2 were selected. Congratulations to:
Bookmark winner for Grades 3-5:
5th Grader – Kendall Hayes
Kendall writes:
“What the MED means to me is being a school that teaches the students to have strong characters; teaching us to be our best and to treat everyone the way we want to be treated. The MED gives opportunities to all students with different in-school and after school programs. This gives all students with different abilities a chance to work together as a team and also builds confidence. Strong confident students build strong communities while remembering: Everyone Everyday.”
Bookmark winner for Grades K-2:
1st Grader – Ava Katelee Bacon
Ava writes:
“School at MED is like the drawing on my bookmark. No matter what, the storm will always pass and a rainbow will always appear.”
These winning designs will be printed and distributed to students across the school.
