Congratulations to Chatham High School math teacher Jennifer DiIorio, who WNYT has named one of their Top Teachers! Reporter Elaine Houston visited CHS on February 13 to shoot a “Teacher of the Week” segment on Mrs. DiIorio and interview some of her students. Her segment aired Wednesday, February 28 in the 5:30 p.m. block of the WNYT Chanel 13 news broadcast. That week, Mrs. DiIorio will also be featured on a billboard near Everett Road on I-90 in Albany and she will be the honored guest at the WNYT Top Teacher awards dinner in May. Watch segment…
Mrs. DiIorio has been with CHS since 2013 and teaches Algebra 2 and Consumer Math. She also advises the Fall Festival of Shakespeare program, chaperones the AIC Model Congress trip, and, as a big fan of Chatham’s performing arts and athletics, is a regular at events like school plays, concerts, and games. She was nominated for the Top Teacher award by one of her students, Margot Marie Schassler.
