CHS Club Fair

CHS hosted its second annual Club Fair September 20 and 21, held in the school library each morning before homeroom. The event resulted from the efforts of CHS senior Destiny Hull and junior Lauren Wrigley, who wanted to provide their peers, particularly the new freshman class, with a way to “shop” the many clubs and activities CHS has to offer. Each club had its own display booth staffed by a student representative or faculty advisor who could provide information and answer any questions the students might have.

“This is a great time for advisors to promote their club and get students to join,” Lauren explained. She said she helped organize the Club Fair because she herself is involved in a number of clubs and activities, including Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), the Fall Festival of Shakespeare, and the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Team. “I think clubs are a great experience and a great way to come out of your shell and figure out who you are. Being involved with clubs also helps with college applications and helps you get a feel for the things you might want to do as a career,” she added.
