Murals with a Message

Art has many purposes, and brightening someone’s day is one of them. This spring, some 7th graders taking art with Mrs. Fahey used their creativity to add a little charm to an otherwise nondescript part of their school, the back stairwell behind the art room. Each day, students in the Middle School’s Life Skills class use this stairwell to get to and from their classroom. Mrs. Fahey and her art students thought it would be great to brighten that area up for them. They found out what each student’s favorite cartoon character is and painted it on the walls of the stairwell, along with a special personalized message for that student! Our life skill’s class was thrilled and they enjoy it everyday!

The 7th grade artists are (in order of appearance, left to right, with their artwork ) Eliot Bailey, Evan Groom, Tobias Jeralds, Claudia Hudson, Maria Geel, Christopher Becker, Daniel Baneni, Noah Fowler, Ethan Boyle, Meghan Hay, Clara Jones, Giovanna Allen, and Erin Madsen.
