Chatham Welcomes New Business Administrator

Michael ChudyPlease welcome Michael Chudy as the new business administrator for the Chatham Central School District. Chudy was chosen from several qualified candidates following a search and interview process, and was appointed to the position by the Board of Education in late spring. He comes to Chatham highly qualified for the job, with six years experience as business official and treasurer for the West Valley Central School District in western NY.

Chudy holds two certificates of advanced study in educational administration (School District Leader and School District Business Leader) from the University at Buffalo, an MBA in management from Purdue University, and a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University in Ohio.

Chudy is excited to be living and working in the Chatham Central School District. He, along with his wife of 12 years, Cristina, their six-year-old son, Alexander, and their three-year-old daughter, Marianna, have relocated to Chatham and are currently searching for a permanent residence to call home. Alexander will be attending school at MED when classes start in September. Chudy is also a big local sports fan (particularly football and basketball), so expect to see him out rooting for the home team when the Panthers resume play in the fall.

“Keeping the school financially strong and maintaining the trust and support of the community are very important to me,” said Chudy. “Chatham is a wonderful, vibrant area with a strong focus on community, and we are looking forward to being part of the community.”

Chudy officially began work at Chatham on July 2nd and succeeds interim business administrator Chuck Snyder.
