Students of the Month - December
Chatham Middle School would like to recognize Shelby Ford, Joe Intrieri, Kayla Tator, Carl Aladin and Jacob Avens as our December Students of the Month.
Shelby Ford was nominated as the fifth grade student of the month because she is a conscientious student and friend that is always willing to lend a helping hand anywhere she is asked. Shelby works hard and puts a lot of effort into her daily activities.
Joe Intrieri is the sixth grade student of the month. Joe displays many positive character traits of a fine citizen. He starts his day being responsible and prepared, and also helps to organize his homeroom by being helpful around the classroom. Joe’s participation in class and completion of all tasks reflects his analytical mind. Joe puts forth extra effort in all of his written assignments and also is a caring and trustworthy peer.
Kayla Tator is the seventh grade student of the month. Her conscientious efforts in all her core classes have resulted in many successes. Her teachers are proud of the strides she has made this year and are looking forward to Kayla having a great second half of the year.
Carl Aladin is the student of the month for the eighth grade. Carl is not only a curious student and exceptionally hard worker, he is also friendly to everyone. He is a pleasure to work with and exemplifies all the characteristics that go with being an honor student.
Jacob Avens was nominated by the encore team for student of the month. The sixth grader has made great improvements since last year. He is always enthusiastic, participates in class and puts a lot of thought and effort into his work. He is always polite, respectful and eager to help out at the end of the class.
Every month, Chatham Middle School honors students who display positive character traits. These students are selected from each grade and the school’s encore team. Student of the Month award winners are invited to a pizza luncheon with CMS interim principal Annemarie Barkman, and receive a certificate of recognition as well as a Chatham Panthers water bottle and pin. Pizzas for the Student of the Month luncheon are donated by Brian Kellog, owner of Pizza Den in Chatham.
