Students of the Month - September
Each month, Chatham Middle School honors students who display positive character traits. Students of the Month are selected from each grade and the encore team. Winners of the award enjoy a pizza lunch with CMS interim principal Annemarie Barkman, as well as receive a certificate of recognition and a Chatham panthers water bottle.Pizzas for the Student of the Month lunch are donated by Brian Kellogg, owner of Pizza Den in Chatham.
The CMS positive character trait for the month of September was respect. Chatham Middle School would like to recognize the following students.
Mikey Moore is the fifth grade Student of the Month.Mikey has been putting forth 100 percent effort in school. He writes in his planner, pays attention in class, is completing his work, and his teachers are thrilled with the transition he has made from elementary school into the Middle School.
Connor Ahern is the sixth grade Student of the Month. Connor always puts forth his best effort by staying after school on a regular basis, as well as coming in for extra help at lunch. He stays on task during his classes and shows good citizenship by being respectful of his school and his peers.
Daryon DeGroff is the seventh grade Student of the Month. Daryon has had a great start to the school year. He has been hard working and has shown great interest in each of his subjects. His teachers look forward to working with him throughout the school year.
Mackenzie Rogers is the eighth grade Student of the Month. Mackenzie brings a positive attitude to each class that her teachers look forward to and appreciate. She is kind and respectful to her peers as well as to adults, and as a student she is hard working and conscientious.
Devin Kopec is the encore team’s Student of the Month. In the physical education setting, the sixth grader includes anyone; regardless of skill level. Devin is supportive to others, while shining as a very efficient mover himself.
