Staff Look-a-Like Pumpkin Decorating Contest

The sixth grade held a fun and creative pumpkin decorating contest this October, where students crafted pumpkins to look like Middle School staff. Using local pumpkins from Staron's Farm Stand, students painted, drew, pinned and glued their pumpkins into round orange versions of their favorite staff members.

On October 24, assistant principal and pumpkin judge Mrs. Bechdol chose a winner from each homeroom. In Mrs. Amos' room, it was Lauren Berry with her Mrs. Amos pumpkin. Mrs. Miller's homeroom winner was Hayden Spock's Ms. Barkman pumpkin, in Mrs. Roth's class it was Brandon LaGuesse and his Mr. Kole pumpkin, and in Mrs. Ladd's room Ella Malfatto's Mrs. Mackowski pumpkin took top gourd.

From these four pumpkins, interim principal Ms. Barkman was tasked with choosing an overall winner. She selected Lauren Berry's pumpkin as the competition's Grand Champion.
