Students of the Month - November
Chatham Middle School would like to recognize Triston Schermerhorn, Zoe Dyer, Noah Summers, Hunter Wallace, and Aaron Keller as our November Students of the Month.
Triston Schermerhorn- The 5th grade team is pleased to announce Triston Schermerhorn as their student of the month. He is a conscientious worker who never backs down from a challenge. Triston has a clear set of goals in mind and works every day to try and reach those goals. He is also an excellent partner in group work who leads by example.
Zoe Dyer- The sixth grade is happy to announce Zoe Dyer as student of the month. Zoe is a hard worker who puts forth exemplary effort in all areas. Recently she put extra hours into writing a folktale which told a story with a great message. Zoe often volunteers to help out in the classroom.
Noah Summers- The seventh grade would like to recognize Noah Summers as student of the month. Noah shows mature behavior, is respectful to adults and students. Noah is a hard worker and shows extra effort in his school work.
Hunter Wallace- Grade eight’s Student of the Month is Hunter Wallace. Hunter is a diligent, thorough, conscientious student who is kind and polite to his peers and always has a smile for his teachers.
Aaron Keller- The encore team nominated Aaron Keller as Encore Student of the Month. Aaron is kind to others and has made a lot of academic gains by trying hard and preparing for encore classes. He stays after school on a regular basis.
Every month, Chatham Middle School honors students who display positive character traits. These students are selected from each grade and the school’s encore team. Student of the Month award winners are invited to a pizza luncheon with CMS interim principal Annemarie Barkman, and receive a certificate of recognition as well as a Chatham Panthers water bottle an pin. The positive character trait for November was gratitude. Pizzas for the Student of the Month luncheon are donated by Brian Kellog, owner of Pizza Den in Chatham.
