CHS Fall Festival of Shakespeare Production of Macbeth
Over fifty CHS students were involved in all aspects of the Macbeth production; from acting and directing to lighting, sound, costumes, and set design.The production was run through Shakespeare & Company of Lenox, Mass, who’s directors, technicians, costumers, and actors worked with Chatham students every day throughout the last week of September, all of October and into November.
Following a performance for Chatham Middle School students November 10, the students put on performances for the public in the CHS auditorium at on Friday, November 11th and Saturday, November 12th.
The students put on a final performance at the Fall Festival of Shakespeare at Founders’ Theatre in Lenox on Thursday, November 17th.
CHS’ production of Macbeth was directed by Jennie Jadow and Brittany Morgan of Shakespeare & Company and was supported in part by gifts from the Atlantic Philanthropies Director/Employee Designated Gift Fund, the City Child Fund, the T. Backer Fund, anonymous donors, as well as a grant from The Arts & Humanities Fund of the Chatham Education Foundation.
