CMS Inducts 22 into National Junior Honor Society
Chatham Middle School proudly initiated twenty-two students into National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) during an induction ceremony held in the auditorium June 18.
NJHS membership is open to students in grades six through eight. To be eligible, students must demonstrate outstanding qualities in scholarship, character, service, leadership, and citizenship.
During the ceremony, current members lit candles representing the five qualities of NJHS. Following the candle lighting, the inductees were called, one by one, on to the stage to accept their NJHS certificates and take their place among the membership. The event was followed with a reception for the NJHS members and their families in the CMS library.
