Indoor Track & Field Team Holds Benefit for Morris Memorial
During this year’s Winterfest in the Village of Chatham, Chatham High School Indoor Track & Field athletes held a bake sale to benefit the Morris Memorial. The team set up a table on Main Street and raised $365 for the community center. The money was presented to Morris Memorial executive director Michele Kraham, in appreciation of the support the Morris has shown for the team over the years.
During the coldest winter months, the Morris has allowed Chatham athletes to use its indoor facilities to train. The Morris is located in the Village of Chatham and was built in 1910 complete with a gymnasium and 51 meter indoor running track. Having the opportunity to run on this small track has been one of the keys to the Indoor Track & Field Team’s success.
