Boy's Indoor Track Team Conference Champs

team photo with trophyThe boy’s indoor track team won the 2011-2012 Independent Conference Championships, held January 29th at UAlbany. CHS is the only small school competing in that league, making the boy's 134-124 win over conference powerhouse Scotia-Glenville a major accomplishment.

The Boy's Indoor Track Team consists of: Seniors:  Sam Mackerer, Jason Summers, Justin Tamez, Billy Whitbeck
Juniors:  Rephael Joseph, Jon Mackerer, Ryan Mackerer, Ian Schillinger-Brokaw, Ross Wightman
Sophomores:  Justin Custer, Max Lagonia, Cassidy Palladino, Tyler Rivera
Freshman:  Ian Allen, Austin Burnell

They are coached by Katharine Sager and Suzanne Wightman.

2011-2012 has been a record breaking season for the boys, with new school records being set at every meet.
The 13 new records set this season are:

600m -  Ross Wightman  1:32.3  (the 600m record has been broken four times this season - first by Ryan Mackerer, then Ryan broke his own record, then by Billy Whitbec, and most recently by Ross)
