Reimbursement is only allowed when receipts are submitted on a voucher. This system has been created for audit purposes. Vouchers may be obtained above or by any PTSA Officer. Voucher/receipts are then submitted to Kelly Mackerer, PTSA Treasurer.

Events/Volunteers Needed!

Schedule of Events

Fundraisers:Fall Fundraiser: October, 2009 and Spring Fundraiser, Feb/March, 2010

(2) volunteers needed. Fall Fundraiser and Spring Fundraiser. Packets will need to be distributed to homeroom teachers and orders will be collected. No tallying necessary. Submit money to the PTSA Treasurer for deposit. When fundraiser items are delivered to the school they are delivered to the cafeteria where students may pick up their order at the end of the day. No sorting involved. Each student’s order is packed individually in boxes.

Book Fairs: Spring Book Fair: March 11, 2009-March 16, 2009 Evening Date: March 11, 2009

We need a volunteer to co-chair book fairs. We will also need volunteers to work day shifts and evening shifts at the book fair.

Blood Drive: (4) volunteers needed to assist CMS during Blood Drive at the registration and refreshment table. (Date to be announced)

School Pictures: (4) volunteers needed to assist in CMS school pictures. Time Schedule is usually 8:00AM-10:30AM. (Date to be announced).

Peer Mediation Support: (2) volunteers needed to Organize, deliver and clean-up breakfast & lunch to Peer Mediation Staff and students during Peer Mediation Training. (Date to be announced)

Lip Sync / Karaoke Night:March 19 2010, 6:00 PM, CMS Auditorium
Chair and co-chair needed. Organize the Lip/Sync Karaoke Contest on a Friday evening. Volunteers are also needed for backstage, judging, mc, music coordinator, refreshment table, advertising, etc. This is a fun time had by all. Sweetz-n-Jazz:February 8, 2009, 6-8PM, CMS Gymnasium Snow Date: February 9, 2008
PTSA co-sponsors this event with the Music Department. Chair, co-chair and volunteers needed. Organize collection of dessert donations from local vendors, set up & clean-up, collect donations at door, etc.

Spirit /Winter Carnival:
Spirit Week: February 8-12, 2010
Winter Carnival: February 12, 2010, 7:00PM,
Chair, co-chair & volunteers needed.

Staff Appreciation Day: May 4, 2010 Chair, co-chair, working volunteers and bakers needed. A breakfast treat is distributed to staff in the morning and a luncheon is served. Servers and bakers are needed for this day.

Transportation Appreciation Day:May 26, 2010, 9-10AM, CMS Cafeteria.
Co-sponsor with MED PTA. Volunteers Needed: Chairperson, volunteers to set-up, clean-up and bake for Appreciation breakfast for the Transportation Department.

Wellness Day:
(2) volunteers needed to Order/Purchase food, set-up and clean-up breakfast and lunch for presenters at Wellness Day. Also will need bakers. 7:00AM Breakfast Set-up, 10:30AM Lunch Set-up, Clean-up after 1:30PM. In CMS library.

Arbor Day Picnic:
June 15, 2010
Volunteers Needed: Chair, co-chair, volunteers to set-up, clean-up, food donations, etc. Food donations arrive in the morning and are marked by grade, volunteers take refrigerated food to kitchen, tables are set up outside, volunteers cook hotdogs (using steamer in kitchen), stuff into rolls and set up food for lunch. Students eat outside. PTSA supplies hotdogs, rolls, condiments, water, and paper products. Fruit, veggies, salads, pickles, desserts, etc. are donated by parents.

Turn-off TV Awareness Week:
5th & 6th Grade CMS PTSA Turnoff TV Activity: Typically in April
7th & 8th Grade CMS PTSA Turnoff TV Activity: Typically in April
Chair, co-chair and volunteers needed. Organize activities after school. Kickball game, basketball game, board games, exercise/dance, etc. Serve hotdogs, popcorn and beverage.

PTSA Membership Table: Volunteers needed to set up membership table at open houses, events, etc. with PTSA information and refreshments. PTSA table cover, membership forms, informational brochures, balloons, etc. are found in the PTSA Membership Tote.

8th Grade Moving Up Reception & Dance: Volunteers needed: Chair, Co-Chair, 7th Grade parents to chaperone 8th grade dance, 8th grade parents to bake, decorate gym, and clean-up.

School Banking: Volunteer needed as a back-up to Banking chairperson. Banking is done on Wednesdays. Estimated time to process bank deposits is between 15-30 minutes and then take deposit to bank.
