Transition Service |
We offer a very comprehensive program for students and families transitioning from the elementary school to middle school. The counselor visits each 4th grade classroom, arranges a visitation day for students and hosts a parent orientation night. In addition, the counselor meets with each 4th grade teacher about the needs of each student. In the fall of 5th grade each student has the opportunity to have lunch with the counselor and parents are invited to a covered dish open house. Student who will be entering high school after 8thgrade have the opportunity to meet with the Middle School Counselor to discuss High School academic program options. We welcome parents to be a part of this process. Students also will be meeting with the High School Counselors to receive a comprehensive orientation to High School and to review individual goals and program options.
