Lots of stuff will help you succeed in band. The most obvious is an instrument that’s in good working order. If you’re having problems getting a good sound be sure to ask your teacher before going to the repair shop. It’s really hard to practice an instrument with out a music stand to hold your band music and lesson book. Check with Mr. Caldwell at Musica (392.5006) or John Keal Music (482.4405) to see what they have in stock.
There are lots of places online where you can get good stuff for your instrument. We like The Wood Wind and The Brass Wind. Make sure to have a name tag on your instrument in case it gets lost. Pencils are really great things for musicians to have! Mark those pesky F sharps that you keep missing and the things that are worked on in rehearsal. |
