Grading / Homework Policy

 

Breakdown of Grading:   

 

1- Testx2/ Quiz-25%

2- HW-25%

3- Class work/ Group work-25%

4- Projects-25%

 

*****Each part is worth 25%

 

1-       Tests

Tests are always averaged in twice to your overall grade. A quiz score will only be averaged in once for the overall grade.

 2-HW

   HOMEWORK POLICY:

 

Homework is grade on a 4pt scale.

Check plus is equivalent to a 4 or a 100%.

Check is 3 or a 75% .

bullet

Check minus is 2 or a 50%.

bullet

And 1 is 25%--your paper will just read partial credit or 1.

 

*********Late homework automatically goes down a pt. each day it is late-therefore if a task is more than four days late it is no credit *********

 

 3-CW/Group-work

 

*The group work is graded by a rubric on a 4 pt scale. 4,3,2 or 1

Or Excellent, Satisfactory, Failing, Unacceptable

 

The class work is on a 3 pt. scale.

 4-Projects

 

*****All students are responsible for one quarter project every quarter and will be given ample time and information to complete this task.****

 ***4th Quarter--no project--final exam will serve as 4th Quarter project

*Projects are graded on a similar scale as the group work, using a rubric. Which will give a point total based on the criteria of that rubric.

Papers will be averaged in as tests grades and will be counted twice towards the overall grade
