The screen you are looking at now should consist of 3 frames. If it does not, click here to get to the beginning of this project description.
Your Final project for this course will involve the creation of a complete, and useful, web site. The subject of your site is open for discussion, but the recommendation is that you create a site to be used as a study guide for one of your other classes. All students must have an approved subject no later than Tuesday January 12. The project must be completed by Thursday January 28..
The site should be well organized. All pages should have meaningful titles. Navigation should be obvious and easy to maneuver. Navigation should be on every page and should be easy to find. The navigation should be consistent throughout the site. Folders should be created to store necessary files. Every page should include a link enabling the reader to 'start over" from the top of your site. this project must include a minimum of 6 pages created by you.
All pages and/or parts of pages should have backgrounds. There should be very little unused space opn any page. Attempts should be made to avoid scrollbars whenever possible. (Sometimes it is impossible to avoid them.)
Everything on the site should work. There should not be any missing graphics or broken links.
The entire project must be kept in a folder entitled "Final Project for your name". When the project is complete, your entire directory will be electronically "handed in". Please make sure that this folder contains all project items, and ONLY project items. The start page of your site MUST be called "index".
A basic list of the items that MUST be included within your site is contained on the left side of this page. (If you do not see it, click here now.) This list contains minimum requirements. For a high passing grade, you should exceed these standards.
If you choose to use frames, your frame pages will be counted towards (at most) the first 4 of your 9 page minimum.
