Welcome to Parenting!

• New York State Regulations (Part 100) require all students entering ninth grade in the fall of 2001 and thereafter to receive parenting education prior to their graduation.
• The requirement can be found in Part 100 of the Regulation of the Commissioner of Education 100.5(a)(3)(vi), which states: Learning standards in the area of parenting shall be attained through either the health or family and consumer sciences programs or a separate course.

    Course Policy
  • Homework is worth 3 points a piece, and worth 30% overall.
  • Tests/ Labs/ Projects are graded out of 100% and worth 50% overall.
    • Projects will not be accepted after 3 days, and late projects receive 15 points off.
  • Class participation & effort is worth 20 points and worth 20% overall.
