Welcome from Superintendent Cheryl Nuciforo
Welcome back! As we begin the new school year, you will notice improvements to our facilities that will benefit our students. The work done on our schools this summer focused on health and safety, energy efficiency, and other necessary maintenance of our buildings. We have replaced roofs and windows and doors. We have upgraded the heating and ventilation system, and have improved the electrical system. The high school parking lot has been redone, and the new access road at the middle school promotes safety during arrivals and provides an alternate route in the event of an emergency evacuation. All of these changes combine to provide a better learning environment.
I am very proud of our students as we work through the implementation of the One-Bell transportation system. The students have quickly learned the new routines. Older students are watching out for the younger ones, and I have received several reports of students setting good examples or offering assistance. I am impressed with the level of responsibility and maturity our students have demonstrated.
As the school year progresses, I look forward to working with staff, parents, and community members to create the best possible education program. We will be asking for involvement on a number of committees and projects. I also invite you to introduce yourself as I see you at school events and in the community. I am eager to hear your input and ideas.
