Special Joint Meeting with New Lebanon February 8
The Chatham and New Lebanon Boards of Education will hold a joint meeting on February 8th, the purpose of which will be to continue the discussion on whether or not to apply for a grant to fund a functional consolidation/merger study. February 8th marks the second public meeting between the districts concerning the grant application. The meeting is open to the public and will take place Wednesday, February 8 at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Mary E. Dardess Elementary School, located at 50 Woodbridge Ave. in Chatham.

The nine members of Chatham's Board of Education are volunteers who are elected to three-year terms and receive no pay. A president and vice president are selected each year at the July organizational meeting. The Board acts as a collective body to establish the policies under which the Chatham Central School District operates. The Superintendent of Schools is responsible for administering the school program within the context of these policies.

Statement Concerning Board Member Francis Iaconetti
The Chatham CSD Board of Education is aware of the charge facing Board member Francis Iaconetti. Please be assured we are treating this situation with the utmost seriousness. At this time we are investigating the situation. We do not yet know what the outcome of that process will be. Mr. Iaconetti currently has no committee assignments or extra Board responsibilities. Until the situation is resolved, the Board has limited the role of Mr. Iaconetti to participation in Board meetings only.
