2016 Fall Season Fields Eight Scholar Athlete Teams
Eight of our fall varsity teams qualified as Scholar Athlete Teams in 2016. Girls tennis, girls soccer, boys soccer, girls volleyball, golf, football, cheerleading, and girls cross country all made the grade and each received a certificate from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) recognizing this accomplishment. In order to qualify a team must hold a collective grade point average (GPA) of 90 or better with at least 75% of the athletes on the roster. In addition, any varsity athlete with a personal GPA of 90 or higher is eligible to receive a scholar athlete pin from the NYSPHSAA. Including boys cross country, eighty-five Panthers received pins this fall!
