Students Interweave Knitting and Service

Some say knitting is becoming a lost art, but it certainly isn’t here in Chatham. This month, the Miles family (8th graders Anna and John Miles, their mom Nancy, and grandmother Barbara Hills) is instructing the Grade 7/8 Service Club on how to knit squares. The plan is to sew the squares together to create a big blanket that the club will donate to an area agency. “The students are really loving this new venture,” said Service Club advisor Jackie Hoffman.
